Gain-switched thulium-doped fiber laser with electrically tuning at 1690–1765 nm

Abstract

We demonstrate a gain-switched thulium-doped fiber laser with electrically tuning at 1690–1765 nm. Stable laser pulse with duration of 190 ns, average power of 654 mW, and pulse energy of 2.2 μJ is achieved.
