Magnitude and Sign Control of Index-Antiguided Coupling

Abstract

We show the first theoretical analysis of the coupling coefficient in passive index-antiguided coupling. Both magnitude and sign of the coupling coefficient are controlled by the inter-element distance and index, enabling novel photonic applications.
