Dispersion engineering with plasmonic nanostructures for enhanced surface plasmon resonance sensing

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate plasmonic resonance narrowing via dispersion engineering using plasmonic nanogratings placed on top of thin metal coated prism. The enhancement in Q factor, combined with strong field localization is attractive for sensing applications.
