Gaussian Pulses in Kerr Nonlinear Microresonators with Pure Quartic Modal Dispersion

Abstract

Gaussian pulses in Kerr-nonlinear microresonators with pure quartic modal dispersion are reported. Using a variational approach, pulse parameters are found in terms of experimentally tunable quantities and verified through numerical simulations and comparison with experiment.
