Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate non-Hermitian physics of thermal emitters by coupling a plasmonic resonator with high losses to a bound-state-in-continuum dielectric resonator with low losses. Our thermal emitter exhibits passive PT-symmetry while operating at 700°C.
