Ultrafast Photoluminescence without Phonon Scattering Due to Nonlocal Light-Matter Interaction

Abstract

Ultrafast radiative recombination of confined excitons in a semiconductor mesoscopic thin film has been investigated by temperature dependence of photoluminescence spectra. Sub-100 fs radiative decay competes with phonon scattering even at room temperature.
