Experimental Evidence for the Unruh Effect

Abstract

We present a theory of radiation in accelerated quantum electrody namics which is manifestly thermalized at the accelerated temperature. Statistical analysis of a recent channeling radiation experiment implies the first observation of the Unruh effect.
