Creating secondary reflection along a fiber axis for out scattering light

Abstract

An illuminating fiber is demonstrated by incorporating a reflecting element along a fiber. The element creates a helical path longitudinally to efficiently scatter light. We present the concept and its demonstration in a 200-|rm fiber.
