Ultrafast signatures of spin and orbital order in the antiferromagnetic Mott insulator Sr2CrO4

Abstract

We used femtosecond time-resolved optical spectroscopy to study ultrafast dynamics of photoexcited carriers in the antiferromagnetic Mott insulator Sr2CrO4, revealing distinct time-domain signatures of different spin and orbital orders.
