Abstract

We propose evidence that the multilayer T_d-WTe₂ is a higher-order topological insulator. By measuring the Kerr effect using the graphene/WTe₂ heterostructure, we revealed the existence of spinful topological hinge states protected by the time-reversal symmetry.
