Achieving flat spectral envelopes of soliton crystal frequency microcombs

Abstract

Flat optical spectra are desired in many frequency microcomb applications such as ultrabroadband optical communication, interconnects, spectroscopy, and metrology. Here we achieve flat-top spectral envelopes via deterministic control in soliton crystal microcombs.
