Intermodal Four-wave Mixing in MgF2 Microresonators Enable Ultra-wide Frequency Generation

Abstract

We study the intermodal four-wave mixing interactions in a high-Q MgF2 microresonator, and show that such interactions can enable the generation of visible and infrared sidebands spaced by more than 150 THz from the pump.
