Standoff Chemical Imaging of Trace Quantities Using Single-beam CARS

Abstract

The sensitivity and selectivity of single-beam CARS is explored at one meter standoff. Trace quantities of dinitrotoluene are detected within a complex polymer/solvent background. Chemical images demonstrate selectivity and quantify sensitivity.
