Intracavity Generation of Continuous Wave Terahertz Radiation in the Milliwatt Regime

Abstract

We present a terahertz source based on intracavity difference frequency generation within a dual color vertical external cavity surface emitting laser. The generation of continuous wave terahertz radiation in the milliwatt regime is demonstrated.
