High harmonic generation of Ti:S fs pulses using a passive cavity toward state detection of single indium ion

Abstract

VUV pulses at 159nm were generated as the 5th high harmonic of passively enhanced Ti:S fs pulses. The average output of 1.5µW might be sufficient to realize direct state detection of an indium ion clock.
