CMOS-Compatible Temperature Insensitive Silicon Microring Modulator

Abstract

We demonstrate a passively temperature stabilized silicon electro-optic modulator, consisting of a ring resonator coupled to a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with tailored mode confinement. We show 2 GHz modulation over 40°C temperature range.
