High Power Mid-Infrared In-plane DBR laser

Abstract

An optically pumped in-plane DBR mid-infrared laser is described. A quasi continuous-wave power of ~2.8 Watts is obtained at ~3.59 µm that is contained within a spectral width of ~5 nm.
