Optical Emission from Fused Silica Ejecta Following Localized Exposure to Nanosecond Laser Pulses

Abstract

We investigate the emission of ejected material during laser ablation of fused silica. The kinetic properties of the ejected particles are also resolved. The results help better understand the transient state of the ejected material.
