Plasmonic Absorption Enhancement in Organic Photovoltaic Cells with Periodic Metallic Nanostructures

Abstract

We present numerical results indicating 18% enhancement in the percentage of light absorbed in organic photovoltaic cells with embedded metallic nano-gratings. We show initial nanofabrication results of nano-gratings of ~200 nm period.
