Integrated optofluidic modulators based on nematogen flows

Abstract

We present integrated optofluidic modulators based on anisotropic liquid flow for imaging in microfluidics. Flow drives the liquid birefringence and thus acts as a modulator. We discuss the operation principle, integration and performance.
