Abstract
Suspended silica and tungsten trioxide nanoparticles were dispersed in a microfluidic channel adjacent to a polymeric rib waveguide. Dielectrophoresis used to manipulate nanoparticles into forming tightly packed nanoparticle concentrations was capable of altering the waveguide properties.
