Coupled-Resonator Optical Waveguides (CROWs) Based on Tapered Grating-Defect Resonators

Abstract

We report experimental results of CROWs based on high-Q (Q~105) tapered grating-defect resonators in silicon waveguides. CROWs with 36 resonators and tailored coupling coefficients are demonstrated, showing group velocities of c/11.2 and c/23.6.
