Realization of Nano-Strain-Resolution Fiber Optic Static Strain Sensor for Geo-Science Applications

Abstract

The first realization of nano-strain-resolution fiber optic static strain sensor is introduced. The theoretical analysis and experimental demonstration are reviewed. With this sensor, crustal deformations induced by oceanic tide and by earthquake were clearly observed.
