Low Loss Photonic Crystal Fiber Fabricated by Slurry Casting Method

Abstract

We describe low-loss silica photonic crystal fiber fabricated by a slurry casting method with an OH reduction process that provides a highly flexible air-hole structure and a low fabrication cost. The loss was 1.1 dB/km at 1.55 µm.
