Abstract

An 8.06 GHz microwave signal is synchronized with a 77.5-MHz mode-locked Er-fiber laser with residual phase noise of −152 dBc/Hz (−120 dBc/Hz) at 10 kHz (1 Hz) offset frequency and sub-10-femtosecond long-term phase drift.
