Polarization Instabilities in All Normal Dispersion Supercontinuum from Yb-doped Modelocked Lasers

Abstract

Polarization instabilities have been found in all normal dispersion supercontinuum seeded by an ultrafast laser. Measurements indicate fluctuations in polarized local regions of the spectra are larger than the total polarized power fluctuations.
