Few-mode YAG Crystal Fiber Cladded by High-index Glass

Abstract

A 40-μm-diameter YAG single crystal fiber cladded by N-SF57 high-index glass was fabricated using the co-drawing laser-heated pedestal growth method. The number of guiding modes of the crystal fiber at 532 nm is estimated to be five.
