8-fs high-contrast vortex pulses

Abstract

8-fs high-contrast vortex beams were shaped from 6.5-fs pulses with a compact diffractive structure. These are the shortest twisted optical fields reported so far. The pulse transfer indicates a self-compensation of dispersion and diffraction.
