Narrowband Terahertz Wave Generation by Optical Rectification in Large-Area Periodically Poled Crystal

Abstract

A new scheme of optical rectification in PPLN crystal, which allows to easily control the bandwidth of THz generation is proposed and demonstrated. The minimal bandwidth is 17 GHz that is smallest for ever reported.
