An Ultrasensitive Optofluidic Nucleic Acid Biosensor

Abstract

Amplification-free nucleic acid testing using molecular beacon detection on an optofluidic chip is reported. A limit of detection at the single molecule detection level (10pM) and excellent specificity (single nucleotide mismatches) is observed.
