Generation of ultrashort optical vortex pulses using optical parametric amplification

Abstract

The generation of 2.3-cycle, 5.9-fs, 56-μJ ultrashort optical-vortex pulses by optical parametric amplification was performed. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first generation of optical vortex pulses in the few-cycle regime.
