Dynamic switching between microparticle buffering and dropping on a silicon nitride optofluidic microring resonator

Abstract

We demonstrate dynamic switching between microparticle buffering and dropping on a silicon nitride optofluidic microring resonator by polarization switching. We calculate the cavity-field-enhancement factor as an indicator to explain the transition between buffering and dropping.
