Abstract

We demonstrate 2W CW output power with a DBR QCL mounted epi-down at 20 °C. Single mode operation with a SMSR of 30 dB was achieved with the wavelength around 4.48 μm. The maximum pulsed peak power of this laser reached 3.36 W at 20 °C. The maximum pulsed and CW WPEs reached 14.7 % and 10.3 % at 20 °C, respectively.
