Coherent Stitching of Light in Femtosecond Laser Formed Multi-Layered Volume Gratings

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a novel method for improving diffraction efficiency through strategic arrangement of multilayered weak phase gratings to coincide with Talbot planes. Multilayered volume gratings were written inside fused silica with femtosecond lasers.
