Fabrication of a micro-ridge long-period fiber grating inscribed on a photonic crystal fiber

Abstract

Micro-ridge long-period fiber grating (MRLPFG) inscribed on a photonic crystal fiber was proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Transmission characteristics of the PCF-based MRLPFG with variations in strain and temperature were measured.
