Polymeric Thermo-Optic Switch with Imprinting and Print-on-Demand Technology

Abstract

We demonstrate polymer based 2×2 thermo-optic switches using imprinting and print-on-demand techniques. Operation performance shows <0.5ms switching time at 1kHz. The fabrication process gives great potential for high throughput and low cost fabrication of photonic devices.
