Photonic Synthesis of Spread Spectrum Radio Frequency Waveforms over Arbitrarily Long Time Apertures

Abstract

A photonic radio frequency generation setup is designed to generate arbitrary waveforms with ~10 GHz bandwidth and arbitrarily long time apertures. Experiments are conducted through implementing pseudorandom sequence modulation and differential optical-to-electrical conversion.
