Cups curvature effect on confinement loss in hypocycloid-core Kagome HC-PCF

Abstract

We report on numerical and experimental results showing the influence of cups curvature of hypocycloid-core Kagome HC-PCF on the confinement loss. Fabricated fibers with circular cups demonstrate record loss-level of 40 dB/km at 1064 nm.
