Recent progress in high precision atmospheric trace gas instruments using mid-infrared quantum cascade lasers

Abstract

We report results from high precision spectroscopic instruments for atmospheric trace gases using with mid-IR quantum cascade lasers. Numerous gases can be measured with 1s absorption noise ~1×10−6, allowing e.g. 1s OCS precision of 10−12.
