Influence of interactions with non-condensed particles on the coherence of a 1D polariton condensate

Abstract

We study interactions between background carriers and a polariton condensate. Second order correlation measurements and Young’s double-slit experiment demonstrate a detrimental effect on the coherence of a polariton condensate mediated by background carriers.
