Ultra-long Fibre-based Random Lasers

Abstract

The emerging science and applications of ultra-long random fibre lasers will be overviewed. The lasers with cavity length up to several hundred km exploit random distributed feedback provided by Rayleigh scattering amplified through Raman effect.
