Improved design of environmentally stable all fibre, all normal dispersion Yb doped short pulse lasers

Abstract

We report the improved performance and reliability of all-normal dispersion fibre lasers produced linearly chirped output pulses compressible to 120fs. The effect of the intra-cavity spectral filter is investigated both theoretically and numerically and demonstrate the reliability of the device via comprehensive endurance tests.
