Giant sub-THz Nonlinear Response in Superconducting Metamaterial

Abstract

We present a superconducting metamaterial with ultra-strong nonlinear response in the sub-terahertz range. A change in transmission of more than 10% has been achieved by ramping up the radiation intensity from 100μW/cm2 to just 800μW/cm2.
