Abstract

First continuous laser oscillation around 554 nm on $B^{1} Π_{u} \to X^{1} Σ_{g}^{+}$ transitions of Na₂ has been obtained, optically pumped with a common cw blue emitting InGaN diode laser at 461 nm. Spectroscopic investigations and laser experiments are reported.
