Comparing Inter-Core Skew Fluctuations in Multi-Core and Single-Core Fibers

Abstract

We measure the dynamic skew fluctuations between cores in a multicore fiber and show that they are more than one order of magnitude smaller than those of parallel single-core fibers over a 24 hour period.
