Fiberoptic Evanescent Wave Spectroscopy in Water at ppm Sensitivity with a tunable Quantum Cascade Laser

Abstract

We present in water chemical spectroscopy by the use of a AgClBr fiber and a tunable mid-IR Quantum Cascade Laser source (QCL. We show detection of ppm concentration of ethanol in water.
