Abstract

Single-mode Ge28Sb12Se60 waveguides, fabricated with thermal evaporation and lift-off, were characterized at 1.03 and 1.53 µm. Measured linear propagation loss agrees with theoretical predictions, and large nonlinear absorption at 1.03 µm has optical limiting applications.
