Fast Wavelength-Tunable Picosecond Pulses from Mode-Locked Er Fiber Laser using an Intracavity Filter with Repetition Rate Compensator

Abstract

We present a polarization-maintaining, SESAM-mode-locked fiber laser with a wavelength-tuning speed of <5 ms and a duration of ~10 ps. Within the tunability of >30 nm, the variation in the repetition rate was <300 Hz.
