Optical Coherency Matrix Tomography of Unconventional Beams

Abstract

We present the first experimental measurement of the coherency matrix G associated with an electromagnetic beam having two binary degrees of freedom. We consider beams with polarization and a spatially varying amplitude or phase: spatial parity modes and orbital angular momentum modes, respectively.
