Quantitative characterization of polarization states of axisymmetrically polarized pulses generated by coherent beam combining

Abstract

By using the extended Stokes parameters and the degree of polarization defined for the spatial distribution (DOP-SD), we fully quantitatively characterize the polarization states of arbitrary (DOP-SD>0.96) axisymmetrically-polarized femtosecond pulses generated by coherent beam combining.
